Björnrike Syd Sweden
A new alpine destination that doesn’t try to be all things to all people
Björnrike Syd (Örndalen, Twin Valleys) is a new mountain resort development in the Vemdalen area of central Sweden. The project involves the development of approximately 100-hectares of skiable terrain, a mountain village, multi-season recreation facilities and a nine - hole golf course. It also includes the development of approximately 5,500 new beds in various offerings from high density village settings to intimate slope side cabins.
Mountainworks was retained as the projects master planner and hired to design all aspects of the resort real estate and amenities. Mountainworks’s design philosophy draws from the local materials and culture. This family-friendly resort catered to a 55+ age class will benefit from a thoughtful plan that locates real estate to be completely ski in - ski out and amenity based.
